Early Arrival: Lisbon

A walk before the gathering.

An optional early arrival experience - moving through Lisbon’s layered queer history as a way of arriving not just in place, but in one another’s company.

On the Early Arrival

For those who arrive in Lisbon ahead of the salon, we offer an optional early gathering.

The morning unfolds gently — a guided walk through the city, moments of conversation, pauses for context and curiosity. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is required.

It’s a way to meet one another before the weekend begins — to share the city, exchange first impressions, and allow familiarity to form naturally.

When the salon opens later that evening, everyone arrives into the same shared beginning.

Your Guide to Place and Memory

We’ll be joined by a local storyteller, someone who knows the hidden layers of Lisbon—its overlooked corners and moments of quiet resilience. Their voice will weave stories of belonging, bringing us closer to the city and to one another.

Walking the Map of Connection

Our walk isn’t about seeing everything—it’s about noticing what’s often missed. Together, we’ll trace the city’s stories—moments of joy, defiance, and community—until the lines between past and present blur into belonging.

Gathering Before We Begin

After our walk, we’ll share a meal together—a moment to rest, exchange thoughts, and begin the conversations that will carry into the weekend. Around the table, connection already begins.
