Andalusia Residency

Time, place, and shared presence in southern Spain.

Set within the hills of Andalusia, this residency invites participants into a sustained period of gathering shaped by landscape, history, and attention. Over several days, the group lives together within a single place — allowing relationships, conversation, and reflection to unfold without haste.

On this residency

The Andalusia Residency is Glainne’s most immersive chapter to date.

Unlike a salon, participants do not move between venues or return nightly to the city. The residency is held within one setting, creating continuity of rhythm and shared company from morning through evening.

Days are not filled with activity. Instead, time is offered — for conversation that deepens through repetition, for creative engagement, and for moments of stillness shaped by shared presence.

This is not a retreat built around outcomes or transformation. It is an invitation to live attentively together, within a place capable of holding quiet and complexity alike.

Andalusia as host

Andalusia carries history visibly — in architecture, land, and light.

The residency takes place in a setting chosen for enclosure without isolation: open skies, grounded structures, and the ability to remain together without interruption. The surrounding landscape offers both scale and calm, creating conditions where attention naturally turns inward.

Rather than serving as backdrop, place acts as host — shaping the cadence of days, the tone of conversation, and the way people arrive and depart.

Rhythm of the days

Life during the residency follows a gentle and repeatable rhythm.

  • Mornings open quietly, with shared breakfast and unstructured time for rest, walking, or reflection.

  • Afternoons invite engagement — conversation, creative practice, or guided inquiry offered by contributors.

  • Evenings draw the group back together around the table, where meals extend into dialogue and shared presence.

Participation during the residency is invitational rather than expected.

Some days invite conversation. Others invite quiet. Participants are free to step forward, step back, or simply be present.

There is no correct way to experience the residency — only a willingness to shared time, held with discretion and care.

There is guidance, but no pressure.
Participation is welcomed, never compelled.
Silence is as valued as speech.
